Can't debug push notification service in Swift - app stops with "finished xxx app on iphone"

by Tintenklecks   Last Updated October 10, 2019 13:24 PM

I'm working on a Notification Service Extension for an app. In the beginning it worked fine to run the Service Extension Scheme and debug the extension.

But now, whenever I start the extension debugging and attach it to the app, the app ends instantly with the info

Finished running xxx.app on iPhone

After searching the web and not finding anything (not even of SO!!!) I do what I rarely do: Ask the question here

Anybody here to brighten my day?

P.s. Some more Infos/Insights:

  1. The app itself runs smoothly

  2. It works, so if I send the push, it works as expected (the problem is, that I now have to add debug info in the push body, which works, but is f***g slow

  3. I´m working on Xcode 11.1 and tried it on Mojave and Catalina (I tried it on Catalina sounds ... weird ;-)

  4. And yes, I deleted the derived data and even reset my Xcode settings and started the OS and Xcode again

Anyone facing this problem? A "me too" would already help as I am having the impression I'm getting crazy and am the only person on earth (having this issue)
