hoping to run a specific linux desktop mode app on chrome os

TLDR; is there some extra configuration needed to run windowed linux apps on chromeos from the linux terminal?

I downloaded a linux tar.gz file which i was hoping to run in my chromebook the file comes from here https://www.midasconsoles.com/Categories/Midas/Mixers/Digital/M32/p/P0B3I/Downloads

note: it is a windowed app (which i think should be ok, as it is possible to run GIMP on a chromebook, which is also a windowed app)

i extracted the file as follows

mkdir m32
cd m32
tar -zxvf ../M32-Edit_LINUX_3.2.tar.gz

this gave me a single file

[email protected]:~/m32$ ls -al
total 21032
drwxr-xr-x 1 someuser someuser 16 Oct 20 13:29 .
drwxr-xr-x 1 someuser someuser 290 Oct 20 13:16 ..
-rwxr-xr-x 1 someuser someuser 21535600 Nov 10 2017 M32-Edit

when i try to run it from the command line i get

 ./M32-Edit
-bash: ./M32-Edit: No such file or directory

dumping the elf header gives me

readelf -h M32-Edit
