Powershell script cannot edit Group Policy using registry key

by Bruno   Last Updated October 20, 2019 00:01 AM

I am trying to disable Do Not Allow Drive Redirection with Powershell using Windows Registry keys. I have a simple script:

Set-ItemProperty "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" -Name fDisableCdm -Value 0
gpupdate /Force

The script executes successfully but upon checking the Group Policy Editor it still shows Do Not Allow Drive Redirection as "Enabled". Any help with this would be appreciated as I have been stuck on this simple script for a few days. If more information is requested please do let me know. Thank you.

Note: Windows Server 2016
