If a regular user gets suspended, I'm not allowed to question that decision. I'm just supposed to accept the moderator's decision, as I may not have access to all the information that influenced that decision, and I'm not allowed to even know the reason.
Now contrast that with if a moderator gets removed from duty by Stack Exchange employees. It seems like everyone is allowed to question that decision, and the fact that only SE staff have all the information is apparently irrelevant.
What's going on here? Why can we question Stack Exchange staff's moderation decision, but not moderators?
As a regular user, this all seems very elitist to me.
